Learning how to suckle with the realistic nipple-like bottle. I forgot the name.
That's right, there's honey in it : )
Just kidding...its mommy's cholesterol.

Violet, what do you think about President Obama's proposed health care reform?

Good point!

Nonny Ferguson has arrived safely from MD.

Thank you Lord, for safe travels and answered prayers. You are great and greatly to be praised.

And now by popular demand...

We'll have to post pictures a little later. Unable to do it from the cell phone. Thank you all for your love and prayers.

The Lord giveth...blessed be the name of the Lord. Thank you, Father!

Maryn and Violet are fine. Trying to nurse. Some crying but more silence than crying. Lots of looking around with her sweet little eyes.

Gang Violence

Well, you all may have heard about gang violence in California. You may hear on the news about gang related deaths and injuries. We hear them often too. There is a city up the road about 30 miles that keeps the news very busy with gang related issues.

Well, here in our part of the pennisula we have little to worry about. There are occasional bits of news stating the gangs spreading their territory but we have a group of fairly harmless thugs that patrol regularly and keep the real thugs at bay.

These turkeys are our neighbors. They make their rounds through the streets like they own the place, loitering on a street corner for a while before finding some other yard to scratch in.

This is in our front yard the other day. (They really think they own the place.) Unfortunately they are protected by the government. No harm can befall these thugs, they have "the man" behind them. People have made attempts on their lives and the local deer, so I have heard, only resulting in massive fines against them.

Still everytime I see them I get more excited about smoking a nice fat turkey for Thanksgiving. Alas, it will not be one of these ugly buggers.

San Francisco Part II

We visited San Francisco again this past weekend. Daniel's professor canceled class on Friday so we had a 4 day weekend. We headed up to the city on Friday morning and walked around town for the afternoon before we checked into our room. We got a hotel room at the Marine Memorial Hotel located downtown. We received a great discount being active military. We were wowed by the accommodations and very friendly service and look forward to a future visit.

Chinatown was a few blocks up so we walked those streets a bit before heading to Union Square.

Later Friday night we took the public transportation to an Oakland A's game. They played the Seattle Mariner's and lost, but it was still a good game.

We drove back home on Saturday morning and attended a friend's wedding that afternoon. It was a very special day for the couple. We met them both on July 4th and have been getting to know them better these past couple of months. I look forward to getting to know them as newlyweds now.
Quick shot at the table...

Later that night

Daniel, Agur, Krista and me

The weekend was very restful and I was thankful for the time with Daniel. He had finished up most of his homework so it was a relatively free weekend for us. We took advantage of the time together. Maybe our last get-away as a couple. Our family is getting bigger everyday as you can see in the pictures. I am obviously growing. :) Violet will be joining us soon enough, Lord-willing.

We covet your prayers these last few weeks of pregnancy as we hash out the details and prepare our hearts and minds for her arrival. So much is about to change!
